I have been recording my podcast since November 2019. It’s another way to express myself and tell about my stories. Putting down my thoughts are much easier when I record, although it takes time to edit it.
What Got Me Into Podcasting
I was listening to one of my favorites DJs when he mentioned that he had a podcast. He mostly talked about current events and also things that affected his job. Out of curiosity and moved by inspiration, I signed up for an Anchor account.
What is Anchor?
Anchor is a podcasting host website. You upload your recording to the site or through the mobile app and it will distribute your podcasts to several platforms. The best thing is, it’s 100% free.
My podcast was first distributed on Spotify, which is a music streaming service. It was followed by Google Podcasts. Anchor has distributed my recordings to seven other platforms.
Recording the Podcasts

I bought a mic and a rig at Lazada during their Christmas sale. I used to connect it to the desktop but I recently found out, thanks to my friend, that I can connect it directly to my mobile phone. Below is a picture of what the setup looks like taken last year before I moved to another location.
Why “The House of B”?
The ‘B’ stands for the nickname that I’m called at home. The original plan was that the podcast will be anonymous because I wanted to say more than when I am known. During the setup, however, I changed my mind. The title of my podcast may also be subconsciously inspired by the ball culture shown in POSE.
My Topics
I talk anything that directly affects me. Examples of which are improv and current events. I also talk about my friends and family. It’s basically anything under the sun.
It’s unfortunate, however, that most podcasters tell others that it’s important to have a niche. What if I don’t have a niche and podcasting is my online journal, besides this blog?
Where I’m At Right Now
I just ended the first season of my podcast . I’m preparing new content for the next season and beyond. Stay tuned!
Podcasting has been very helpful to me because I can record the things on my mind and listen to them the next time. The House of B podcast is an extension of me, and I’m glad that I created it.
